Sallie Jo Ramond Priest, 56, resident of Pontotoc, passed away Saturday May 18, 2019 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo following an extended illness.
Funeral Services honoring the life of Sallie will be at 3 PM Monday May 20 in The Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care located at the intersection of Hwy 30 and W. Bankhead. A private family interment is planned.
A native of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Sallie is the daughter of Patricia Ann Farve Smith and the late Vernon Charles Ramond. She attended East Union High School and had been a resident of North Mississippi for over 40 years.
A Christian, Sallie was employed in the manufacturing industry that include Mohasco in Union County. A person who took much pride in her appearance , she will be remembered for the love and devotion of her family, her grandchildren who she adored and for her passion of cooking. Her memories will be cherished by all that knew and loved her.
A visitation for family and friends will be Monday from 1PM to 3 PM at New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care.
Blessed with a large family, survivors also include her husband of 31 years, Jackie Roame Underwood of Pontotoc, her children, Trica P. Fletcher (William) of Pontotoc, Billy Joe Priest, Jr. of New Albany, Jamie Underwood (Amy), Tony Underwood and Samantha Underwood all of Pontotoc, four sisters, Diana Spires (Anthony) of New Albany, Susan Hogue of Myrtle, Brenda Ramond of Pontotoc and Sandra Johnson(Luke) of Pass Christian, five brothers, Vernon "Buck" Ramond, Jr. (Pam)of Pontotoc, Kevin Joseph Ramond (Hazel) , Randy Tomasich, Mark Tomasich, all of Bay St. Louis and Edmond Tomasich of Long Beach, MS, five grandchildren, Maddie Fletcher, Patience and Skyla Blackard, Kadin and Kemper McGhee.
