Billy Layton McCullough Obituary

Our much loved husband, son, father, "Paps" and friend, Billy Layton McCullough, 51, resident of the Blue Springs Community, passed away Thursday morning February 28, 2019 at Sanctuary Hospice House following a brief illness.
  Funeral Services honoring the life of Billy will be at 2 PM Sunday March 3 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Bain officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements will be provided by New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care. (662)539-7000
  Billy was born November 15, 1967 in Tupelo, MS and is the son of Johnny and Faye Littlejohn McCullough of Blue Springs. He was a graduate of East Union High School and was married on November 18, 2005 to his beloved wife the former Melanie Greer, who survives.
  A member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church and lifelong resident of Union County, Billy was a valued employee of Watkins-Shepard Trucking Company located in Myrtle.
  An avid outdoorsman, Billy enjoyed camping, hunting, water activities and riding motorcycles. He will be remembered for his love of family, traveling, watching television and gardening. A person who enjoyed life and the friendship of many, Billy gave us his whole heart and we will carry his in ours forever.
  Visitation will continue Sunday from 1 PM to 2 PM at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.
  Billy's memory will also be treasured by his children, Amy McCullough (Amber) and Will McCullough both of Blue Springs, Haley Pitts (Austin) and Cody Gause (Corinthian) both of New Albany, six grandchildren, Ava , Layton and Kailey Pitts, Bradley Pullen, Skylin and Zoey Gause and many friends.
