James Larry Smith Obituary

James Larry Smith, 64, currently a resident of Houston and a resident of North Mississippi in recent years, passed away Wednesday January 30, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness.
  A private family funeral service will be conducted and burial will be private. Arrangements will be provided by New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care.
  Mr. Smith was born July 16, 1954 in St. Louis, MO and was the son of the late Larry and Verna Beshires Smith . He was a graduate of the Missouri Public School System and continued his education at Belleville College in Illinois.
  A Christian and proud U.S. Army Veteran who served his country both stateside and overseas, Mr. Smith was married March 21, 1999 to his beloved wife, Carla Clanton Smith, who survives.
  Mr. Smith was a home builder in earlier years and was employed as a long distance truck operator before his retirement. He will be remembered for his love of his family, automobile repair and his German Shepherds.
  In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Cooper of Oakland, TN, one son, Zachary Smith of Woodland, MO, five sisters, Margo Sifuenens, Kimmie Davis, Karen Little, Joan Love, Sandra Smalley and a host of extended family.
