Mary Margaret Gaines Franks

 On Sunday March 17, 2019, Mary Margaret Gaines Franks, 50, resident of Corinth, passed away peacefully at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo following an extended illness.  Funeral Services remembering the life of Ms. Franks will be at 2 PM Wednesday March 20 at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Cooper and Bro. Waring Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Henry Cemetery in Corinth. Arrangements will be provided by New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care (662) 539-7000.
  Ms. Franks was born February 4, 1969 in Corinth, MS and is the daughter of Shirley Medley Gaines of Corinth and the late Benny Ray Gaines. She was a graduate of Corinth High School where she was a flutist in the Corinth High School Band.
  A member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Corinth and homemaker throughout her life, Ms. Franks had extended family members in both Union and Tippah counties. Mary Margaret received much pleasure in being with her children, mother and her faithful, loyal friend Tommy James.
  Visitation will be today from 12 noon until service time at Shady Grove Baptist Church.
  In addition to her mother, her memory will be treasured by her children, Mary Elizabeth, Anna Lee and Cole Franks all of Corinth, one brother, Craig Gaines (Mitzi) of Baldwyn and a special friend, Tommy James. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Ann Gaines and her grandparents, Clarence and Mary Clyde Medley Craig and Quay and Ruby Gaines.
