Rafael Salas Delgado

 Rafael Salas Delgado, 82, resident of Blue Springs, passed away Friday afternoon May 3, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo following a brief illness.
  Funeral Mass for Mr. Delgado will be at 5 PM Monday May 6 at St. Francis Catholic Church in New Albany. A private family interment will be on Tuesday May 7. Arrangements will be provided by New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care located at the intersection of Hwy 30 and W. Bankhead St.
  Mr. Delgado was born April, 7 1937 in El Tule, Zacatecas Mexico, the son of the late Monico Salas and Elvira Tiscareno Lira. He was employed in the agriculture industry for much of his life until his retirement 12 years ago.
  A lifelong Catholic, Mr. Delgado moved to Union County twelve years ago to be near his children. Mr.
  Delgado was a family oriented person who enjoyed the simple things of life that included the outdoors, family gatherings and sweet treats of all kinds.
  Visitation will be Monday at the church from 2 PM until 5 PM. .
  Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 56 years, one daughter, Zeila Salas of New Albany, two sons, Raul Salas (Ana Maria) of Blue Springs and Rafael Salas (Melissa) of New Albany, twelve grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
  Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
  The family request that memorials be direct to St. Francis Catholic Church, 650 State Hwy 15 S, New Albany, MS 38652
