Sheri Roberts McCrystal

In the loving presence of her family, Sheri Roberts McCrystal, a resident of New Albany and valued employee of the Wal-Mart Corporation ,died peacefully  February 7, 2019 in the quiet beauty of the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was 52 years of age and died following a brief illness.

A Service of Remembrance for Sheri will be at 2 PM Saturday February 16 at Hickory Flat First Baptist Church with Bro. Perry Reed officiating. A visitation will be one hour before services and interment will be private. Arrangements will be provided by New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care. (662) 539-7000

Born in Jackson, Mississippi on August, 12, 1966, she was the daughter of the late James Richard and Louise Clayton Roberts. A graduate of East Union High School, Sheri was employed as a cashier by the Wal-Mart Supercenter in New Albany for 12 years and for the Wal-Mart Corporation in Jacksonville, AR for three years before returning to New Albany for health reasons.

A Baptist and known for her strong work ethic, Sheri loved her family and  was extremely proud of her twin daughters, Brandy and Brooke Roberts who are presently completing their studies at Delta State University in Cleveland.  She will be remembered for her love of the Smokey Mountains with her fondness of the mountain air and butterflies. Sheri was known for her kind, sensitive demeanor, her caring spirit and assisting others in their time of need. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Her life memories will be treasured by her husband, Danny McCrystal of Jacksonville, Arkansas, twin daughters, Brandy and Brooke Roberts of Cleveland, one sister Vicki Roberts (Richard) of New Albany, a special niece and nephew, Melodi Easley (Brandon) and Michael Roberts (Kelly), two special great nephews, Austin Lepard and Chance Roberts, all of New Albany.

She was also preceded in death by a great niece, Alexandria Lepard.

Sheri and her family express greatful appreciation and love to all of those associated with Sanctuary Hospice House and request that memorials in Sher's memory be directed to this caring facility at Sanctuary Hospice House
