Stephen Allan Young

Stephen Alan "Steve" Young, age 66, passed away in his sleep on Monday March 18th, 2019 in Birmingham Alabama. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 A.M. Monday March 25th at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 1560 Co Rd. 81, New Albany, MS 38652. Arrangements will be provided by New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care of New Albany.

Steve was born April 18th, 1952 in Mayfield, KY. He graduated from West Memphis High School in 1970. After graduating, he moved to California with his family where he would begin a life-long enthusiasm for entrepreneurship. Throughout his lifetime, Steve had many various endeavors including restaurants, condominiums, equipment containers and aviation.

He married Angie Crisler and moved to Albany, GA where they resided for over 30 years. They had two daughters together, Haley and Michelle. Steve was an avid traveler, pilot and social enthusiast. Those who knew Steve would attest to the fact that he never met a stranger. Although his true passion in life was being a devoted father to his two girls. He enjoyed family travel, coaching their many sports teams, and being a father figure more than anything. He will be remembered as a dependable, honest, caring and loving man.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Starlyn Henry Young and Virginia McGaughay Young and a brother, Terry Young. He is survived by his two daughters, Haley Young, Michelle DeJohn (Michael); three brothers, Richard Young (Elaine), John Young, David Young (Dianne); three sisters, Caron Anson, Melinda Dunlap, Cathie Bouland (Jeff).
