Obituary
Barbara Ann Adair, 70, resident of New Albany, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 13, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union County.
Mrs. Adair was born on May 1, 1952, the daughter of the late Howard "Jerry" and Helen Rajnowski Allen. She was a graduate of Sterling High School in Sterling, IL and was employed as a machine operator with Masterbuilt Industries for over 30 years before retirement.
Mrs. Adair was always known as a happy person who never failed to speak her mind. She found much joy in hummingbirds, embroidering and cross-stitching beautiful pictures.
Survivors include four sisters, Donna Springer of Dixon, IL, Annette Floming, Evyonne Oldham, and Deanna Kradle, all of Sterling, IL, a special niece, Ann Newman (Jeremy) of Sterling, IL, her loyal canine companion, Missy, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 40 years, Edgar "Eddie" Adair, two brothers, Michael Allen, and Lyle Allen.
