Danny (Dan) Ray Roberts was born on July 24th, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri. He grew up in Missouri and in 1964 at the age of 12 he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1969, he joined the Navy, and after boot camp, he went to a Class A cooking school (Culinary School) in San Diego, CA. He was a baker and a firefighter on the ship “USS Wainwright 28” during the Vietnam War. Dan was proud of his travels and enjoyed telling stories about his time in the Navy and all the places he travelled throughout his life. He enjoyed bowling, cooking and baking, the Green Bay Packers, spending time with his family, and a nice game of poker with his closest friends.
Dan left us far too soon on November 30, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital- Oxford. He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Maxine Roberts.
His legacy is carried on by his wife, Susan, siblings Carol Haupt, Sharon Adams, Mark Roberts (Karen), and Paul Roberts (Nancy), his beloved children Aaron Roberts (Charlotte), Angel Dellinger (Lewis), Amanda Baird (Randy), and Audra Ash (Jay), and his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews he loved very dearly.
A memorial service will be held at his church, Enterprise church of Christ on January 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
