Evelyn June Dunn, 75, passed away peacefully at her home, Saturday, August 13, 2022. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Born, June 19, 1947, in Tonkawa, OK, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Dorthy Steel McCombs. Ms. Evelyn was a graduate of Tonkawa High School and was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the healthcare industry.
A Christian, Ms. Evelyn was known for her famous "goulash", homemade bread and her scratch cakes, that became a breakfast favorite. She enjoyed camping, crocheting, tending yard sales, fishing and watching her favorite sci-fi series "The Walking Dead". Holidays were a very special time and being with the family, sharing stories, weekly dining experiences with her daughter brought much pleasure.
Those left to cherish her memories include one daughter, Cordelia Banks (Deric) of Fulton, three sons, Mark Keeler of Esteel Springs, TN, Beuford Dunn Jr. (Dawn) of Williamston, SC, and Dean McCombs (Cherei) of Okalona, four sisters, Ruth Hubbard, Barbara Hoye, Linda Ailey, and Norma Stovall, one brother, Victor Steel, eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her companion of thirty years, Leon Johnson.
