Frances Ann King, 72, longtime resident of New Albany, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis, TN.
A Memorial service celebrating the life of Ms. King will be Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Covenant Church in New Albany with Pastor Bob Pugh officiating and Bro. Randy Hugh in charge of music. A reception will follow the service, for anyone who would like to attend.
Ms. King was born on April 29, 1950, in Grand Junction, TN, to the late R. L. and Claudia Stockton Sexton. She graduated Ashland High School, then attended Memphis State University. Ms. King worked in the banking industry as a secretary until her retirement.
A devoted member of First United Methodist Church of New Albany, Ms. King will be remembered as a lady who put God first in everything she did. She was always helping others and would move heaven and earth for her children. Her favorite color blue represents trust, loyalty and confidence in which she stood for, and her happy place was always the beach.
Those left to cherish her memories include one daughter, Bekk Dowell of New Albany, one son, Tyrone King, of Memphis, three sisters, Teresa Zilinsky (Jim), Dianne Seward (Bob), and Janice Sexton, three brothers, Robert Sexton (Jean), Dale Sexton (Kaye) and Glen Sexton (Pauline), six grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ms. King was also preceded in death by two brothers, Alen and Garry Sexton.
The staff of New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care invites you to share memories with the King family.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Covenant Church, 800 Moss Hill Dr., New Albany, MS 38652 or First United Methodist Church, 207 E. Bankhead St, New Albany, MS 38652 in memory of Ms. King.
