On Sunday, March 2, 2025, Mrs. Genia Gann, 77, resident of New Albany, MS, passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union County, MS, following an extended illness.
Services celebrating the life of Mrs. Gann will be at 3:30 PM Friday, March 7, 2025, in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM on Friday, March 7, 2025, in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care.
Mrs. Gann was born May 20, 1947, in Tennessee, to the late Johnny Woods and Doris Gene Horne. She received her education in Tennessee and was a homemaker. A Christian, she was a loving person who enjoyed growing tomatoes, cooking for her family and friends and fishing. Her true love was no doubt her husband, Johnny, whom she did everything with. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Precious memories will continue to be shared by her beloved husband of thirty-five years, Johnny Gann, one daughter, Jennifer Dillon of Thaxton, MS, two sons, Danny Krosp of Tupelo, MS and Eric Krosp of Magee, MS, two sisters, Sherry Bennett and Kitty Tate (Randy), one brother, Rickey LaBarreare, one step-daughter, Vickie Medlin (Ronnie) of Starkville, MS, one step-son, Rickey Gann (Julie) of New Albany, MS, eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gann is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Amellia (Millie) Hodges and a brother-in-law Danny Bennett.
