“Those we love can never be more than a thought away, for as long as there’s a memory, they live in our hearts to stay.”
On Sunday, June 1, 2025, Mr. Johnny Lane Gann, 75, resident of New Albany, MS, passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.
Services celebrating the life of Mr. Gann will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care with Scott Hill officiating. Visitation will be from 12 PM until 2 PM on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care.
Mr. Gann was born November 3, 1949, in Arkansas, to the late Lloyd and Lena Moffitt Gann. He received his education from Ingomar Attendance Center and was a welder until his retirement eleven years ago. A Christian, he was outgoing, laid back and loved his family most of all. He enjoyed watching westerns, being outdoors, fishing and most importantly his coffee, which he never was without. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him, but we find comfort knowing that we will see him again one day.
Precious memories will continue to be shared by one daughter, Vickey Medlin (Ronny) of Starkville, MS, one son Rickey Gann (Julie) of New Albany, MS, one sister, Shirley Harris, three brothers, Kenneth Gann, Robert Gann, and Bobby Gann (Brenda), six much adored grandchildren and eleven dearly loved great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gann is preceded in death by his wife, Genia Gann, his daughter, Missy Page, a son, Johnny Lane Gann, Jr., a special granddaughter, Amellia (Millie) Hodges, five sisters, Alphie Dorman, Linda Culver, Betty McCain, Judy King and Janice Churchill, and four brothers, Raymond, Allen Gene, Troy and Tommy Gann.
New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care invites you to share memories with the Johnny Gann family.
