Jonathan Reed Freeman

Our beloved Jonathan Reed Freeman, age 20, resident of Saltillo, departed this life on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Services honoring the life of Jonathan will be at 11 AM Thursday, March 2, 2023 in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care with Bro. Marty Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Union County.

Jonathan was born on September 6, 2002, the son of Barry Freeman (Kookie) of Ingomar and Jennifer Davis Hood (Kyle) of Tupelo. He received his education in the Saltillo Public School System and worked alongside his father as a painter for most of his life.

A "Mama's Boy" with a big heart and witty spirit, Jonathan will be remembered for his love for his adored children, animals, and playing basketball and baseball in his younger years.

Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM Wednesday, March 1, 2023 and will continue at 9 AM until service time on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish memories include his daughter, Blakeleigh Freeman, his son, Bentley Freeman, two sisters, Kaitlyn and Kelsey Freeman of Ingomar, three brothers, Landon, Ethan and Coty Freeman of Ingomar, grandparents, Cindy Fields of Saltillo, Bill and Sandra Freeman of Ingomar, two great aunts, Becky Carson of Saltillo and Martha Murry of Ingomar, three uncles Rick Davis, Brian Freeman and Bradley Freeman, a nephew, Carter Freeman and a host of cousins.
