On Sunday, March 2, 2025, Mrs. Julia Faye Littlejohn McCullough, 88, resident of Blue Springs, MS, passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo surrounded by her beloved family.
Services celebrating the life of Mrs. McCullough will be at 2 PM Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church near Blue Springs, MS, with Bro. James Wells officiating. Burial will follow on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care.
Mrs. McCullough was born April 4,1936, in Union County to the late Bill and Myrtis Reid Littlejohn and was a graduate of Center School in Union County and was a valued employee of the New Albany Gazette for over twenty years before her retirement.
A woman of God, Mrs. McCullough will be remembered as a great cook who enjoyed baking, watching the squirrels and birds in her yard and never allowing anyone to wonder what she was thinking. But one of her greatest joys was sharing time with her family, especially her grandkids who affectionately referred to her as “Mamaw Faye,” and will be sincerely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Precious memories will continue to be shared by her beloved husband of sixty years, Johnny McCullough, one son, Jamie D. McCullough, one daughter in law, Melanie McCullough, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McCullough is preceded in death by one daughter, Amy Emiline McCullough, one son, Billy McCullough, four sisters, Opalene Dunlap, Etuyce Pilcher, Edith Reed and Mildred Littlejohn, and one brother, Kenneth Littlejohn.
