Leon Etsuel Johnson

Leon Etsuel Johnson, 74, resident of Aberdeen, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 10,2022 surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness.  

Services honoring the life of Mr. Johnson will be announced at a later date by New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care.

Born December 4, 1947 to the late Etsuel and Viola Bennett Johnson, he received his education from the Deluth, MN public school system.  He was employed as an electrician with Nash Plumbing and Jesco Construction until his retirement.

A Christian, Mr. Johnson will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him, especially by those that called him "Papa."  Some of his favorite pastimes included night fishing, classic country music and his ability to fix anything that seemed broken. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his companion of 30 years, Evelyn Dunn, one daughter Michell Davis (Deric) of Fulton, four sons, David Johnson(Sherri) of Superior, WI, Dean McCombs (Cherie) of Okalona, Mark Keeler (Lori) of Estill Springs, TN and Beauford Dunn of Belden, SC, one sister Judy Chesney (Jim) of Deluth, MN, nineteen grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren.
