Lewis W. Prewett

Lewis W. Prewett, 79, passed away Friday, May, 12, 2023 at his residence in Pontotoc.  A Celebration of Life for Mr. Prewett will be on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 4PM in the afternoon in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care.  Visitation will be from 2PM until time of service.

Mr. Prewett was born August 8, 1943 in New Albany, to the late Louis and Cora Thompson Prewett.  He was a graduate of W. P. Daniel High School and furthered his education at Northeast Mississippi Community College.  Mr. Prewett was a valued employee of South Central Bell for 30 years before his retirement.

A Christian, Mr. Prewett will be remembered for his cheerful personality and his love of outdoors, especially fishing in his lake.  

Those left to cherish his memories include three sons, Brad, Steve and Sam Prewitt, one sister, Libby Riley, and a very special friend of many years, Myra Hodges.
