Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 11:00 AM until the time of service in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care.
Luther was born on September 23, 1946, in Batesville, Mississippi, to the late Douglass and Louise Darby Daniels. He received his education at Myrtle Attendance Center. As the youngest of fourteen children, Luther grew up surrounded by family, a value he carried with him throughout his life. He had a deep love for antique cars and found joy in restoring and admiring their timeless beauty.
Luther was a hardworking and determined man who built a life through dedication and perseverance. He proudly owned and operated Luther’s Catfish, where he welcomed many with good food and a friendly spirit, and later continued his work as the owner of J&L Drywall. Through the years, he was known for his strong work ethic, his kindness, and his willingness to help others.
Above all, Luther cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose love will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Johnson Daniels; one daughter, Leigh Kingsley (Mark Potts); one son, Chris Daniels; two sisters, Jean Autry and Margaret Cox; one granddaughter, Kristin Lunn (Dustin); and one great-grandson, Tucker Lunn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eleven siblings.
Though his earthly life has ended, the memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
