Maudellen Jessen

Maudellen Jessen, 88, resident of Pontotoc, MS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Diversacare in Tupelo. Born May 15, 1934, in Imboden, Arkansas. Ms. Jessen was the daughter of the late John L. and Ellamarie Nolen Thompson. Maudellen, a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Pontotoc, will be remembered for her helpful and serving heart. She loved cooking and had a passion for entertaining others and got great pleasure from playing dominos and card games with friends.

Ms. Jessen is survived by three daughters, Donna Beck, Karla Jeffries and Leasa Owens, one son Eric Jessen, two sisters, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her husband and love of her life, Walter E. Jessen.

A private ceremony honoring the life of Ms. Jessen will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Midway Baptist Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
