Nathan Shane Mays

Nathan Shane Mays, 43, resident of Union & Tippah Counties for much of his life, died suddenly Monday evening November 26, 2018 at his brother's residence in New Albany.
  Funeral Services remembering the life of Shane will be at 3 PM Wednesday, December 5 in The Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care with family friend, Bro. Terry Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in New Albany.
  Born November 7, 1975 in New Albany, Shane was preceded in death by his parents John William Mays and Yvonne "Bonnie" Short Messer. He was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School where he excelled in the Blue Mountain Cougar basketball program. Shane served his country in the United States Navy and was employed in the furniture industry in the New Albany area as long as health permitted.
  A "people person" with a kind heart, Shane never met a stranger. Pastime favorites included watching Ole Miss and Clemson football. To know him was to love him and he will be missed by all that knew him.
  Visitation will be from 1 PM to 3 PM Wednesday December 5 at New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care located at the intersection of Hwy 30 and W Bankhead.
  Shane is survived by a brother Jesse Mays (Tammy) of New Albany, a sister Naomie Whitten of Tupelo, three nieces Corinthian Mays (Cody), Bridgette Allen (Mark) and Mya Whitten, a nephew, Myles Whitten, three great nieces and nephews and his step father, Michael Messer.
