Pamela Darlene "Pam" Mitchell

Pamela Darlene "Pam" Mitchell, 63, resident of New Albany, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 7, 2023.  Services honoring the life of Ms. Pam will be Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 12 Noon, with Bro. Marty Merritt officiating, in The Memory Chapel in New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care.  A private burial will be held at Lee Memorial in Tupelo.  Visitation will be from 11AM until time of service.  

Ms. Pam was born May 8, 1959 in Eupora,Ms, to the late Billy and Hazel Jones Mitchell.  She was a graduate of W. P. Daniel High School in New Albany and received her education degree from The University of Mississippi.  Ms. Pam was known for her love of children over the 30 years that she taught at Myrtle Elementary School before she retired.  She was also the owner and operator of Mitchell Tax Services in New Albany for many years.

A Christian, Ms. Pam will be remembered for her love of felines.  She was an avid Ole Miss Rebel.  Some of her many hobbies included traveling, cake decorating, and spending time talking with friends and family.  She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memories include three aunts, Mary Rowe of Eupora, Virginia Latham (Haze) of Pompano, FL, Thelma Jones of Eupora, two uncles Roy Jones (Carrie) of Eupora and Seth Wayne Mitchell of Memphis, her beloved Godchild, Kaitlyn Yates and a host of cousins.

The family requests that memorials be made to The Union County Humane Society, PO Box 116, New Albany, Ms  38652.
