Obituary
On Wednesday evening, September 13, 2023, Stephanie K. Nichols Willard, 64, resident of Etta, passed away following a brief illness at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. Funeral Services honoring the life of Ms. Willard will be at 2 PM Monday, September 18 in The Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care with Bro. Ken White officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM until 2 PM at New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care with burial in New Harmony Cemetery.
Ms. Willard was born March 3, 1959 in New Albany, the daughter of the late John and Lila Mae Holmes Nichols. She received her education in the East Union Public School System and was a homemaker throughout her life. A member of New Hope Baptist Church in Myrtle, Ms. Willard will be remembered for her selfless generosity, her enjoyment for WWE wrestling , and her love nature, that included hummingbirds. She adored her family, her grandchildren and her loyal canine companion, "Zulu".
"Those we love can never be a thought away....for as long as there's a memory , they live in our hearts to stay.
Memories will continue to be shared by her daughter, Jennifer Willard (John) of Etta, one son, David V. Thomas of Ecru, a brother, Keith Nichols (Tonya) of New Albany, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and her beloved, "Zulu".
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a sister, Diane Smith and a brother, Earl Nichols.
